Visit to the Library
I visited the local library yesterday in hopes of finding people who still read and do not rely on the internet. Oddly enough, there were people in there apart from the charming librarian; and they were not there to take a nap – they appear to be solemnly reading. In a room full of books, the sight of these people reading, given the context of today’s information technology, amuses me. One thing that could complete the whole ambiance of reminiscing old school researching and knowledge building, is a comfortable bench ottoman.
The library had the books; it had the charming librarian, the amusing endangered species of ‘readers’, a spectacular light setting suitable for reading and a set of well-managed reading tables. However, the room remains incomplete because of the absence of classy hardwood yet comfortable chairs. An addition of one bench ottoman or more will without doubt add class and elegance to the room. A library is not as classy if a bench ottoman is missing.
