Choose a color for your floor can often seem a difficult task because there are so many color choices and color trends have changed. So here are some basic tips for choosing the color of your next carpet or rug.
When choosing a color for your new carpet, never trust the color you see in the center design of the carpet or the retailer. Most commercial carpet and carpet outlets have fluorescent lighting, which can deceive the eye. Lighting fluorescent can alter your perception of certain colors, the colors are blue or gray. If you can always borrow a sample board with at least two or three of the colors that are appealing to you and to take home. Now you can see how they appear in the lighting and setting and get a better idea of how your final choice will fit in with the design of your home. Often people come to our design center with a cushion, tissue sample or other element of its decoration that they would like to match or compliment and this is a good starting point. However, always have a home in the sample so you can see what it will look like at home.
Another thing to color selection is to consider soil walls. The color of the walls often affect the color of new carpet or vice versa. I just had one of those times with a client not long ago. She decided on a neutral beige color for your carpet. After the installation completes his beige seemed to take a pink hue. His first thought was that it had installed the wrong color at home, so I took the plate of the sample with its chosen color on it and went home for inspection. The carpet was exactly the color I had chosen. However, their choice of new paint, which was in clear or pink burgundy Arena gave the appearance that their new carpet also had a blush color added. This was due to light refraction from the walls and affecting the color of the carpet. Although the color seemed off, however, was happy with his choice, as it blends beautifully with cherry wood furniture. Please do not let this scare you make your color choice. Just remember when using light-colored tones or neutral hues will face in their environment.
There is really only one truly drastic error can cause that choosing the color of your floor and you're choosing a color that overwhelms the room. If people notice the color of your floor more than the colors that have been decorated with accessories or the time you have a problem. If you choose a color that is too bright, or a color that clashes with the walls, curtains and furniture, and obvious when you walk into the room, that has made a mistake. That is why we prefer the more modern colors are deeper, bolder and more silent. Trying to decorate with bright pastel colors can be challenging to say the least and sometimes ends with an effect that goes from the color palette you want. Muted colors deeper and tend to blend well with their surroundings and hardly overwhelm your hard work in the design of your home.
Always use complementary colors. If you are unsure about how colors mix in a complementary way you can use a simple tool to reference artists complement each other color. This tool is called a color wheel. Its aim is starting to find what colors are mixed to achieve a particular color to paint, but can be a powerful tool for decorating. You can buy a simple color wheel of any good art supply store. However, there are now some high-tech means of control of complementary colors. If you go online you can find several tools that help you find colors that complement each other. There are even tools to choose your color combination especially for you. We have some examples of these tools and how to use our site.
Choose color for carpet slightly different from the color choice of wall to wall carpet. Area rugs are most commonly used as accent colors to complement your design, though there are times when all the same rules apply as when using a large rug or when using a carpet to segment or define an area of the room like a different design scheme than the rest of the room.
Anyone who is the way you use it, the color is going to make or break your overall design plan so do not be afraid to use it to your advantage. Just follow a few simple rules and always use your instincts (Your first instinct is usually the best) and not being afraid to make a statement. Use some of the bolder colors and colors with more depth. This will leave a lasting impression on you to decorate. Those who deserve love and care about a rich and perceptive in which to live.
